Union of Knives - We Are All Doing Drugs

I missed these guys for their last release back in 2006, but I’m glad I was informed about their new project! The new album - produced by Atticus Ross of NIN - will be available later this year, but in the mean time we can all look forward to the limited release in Feb/March. Their first high-octane single, “We Are All Doing Drugs,” is one of those songs that could easily incite a riot with the right people around. The first half of the song is more soulful and reminds me of The Black Ghosts, but then the industrial strength/foundation cracking beat drops and things get nuts. I can see the dark edgy lyrics and the energetic instrumentals of Union of Knives creating some noise this year. If you like what you hear, check out more new tracks on their Myspace page.
