Futurebirds - Johnny Utah
Lucky for me I got my hands on the new Futurebirds album Hampton’s Lullaby last week (thanks Carter from Rollo & Grady for the sneak preview!) and finally had a chance to really dig into it on the way back from LA this weekend. I’ll admit the first run through last week had me a little skeptical - but it was only because I constantly play their first EP from last year and it took a little time to adjust to the new tunes. Well I’m sold now. In fact, I sincerely think the debut album is going to propel this band to the next level. You just don’t know it yet, because the album doesn’t come out until July 13th on Autumn Tone. But consider this a little taste of what’s to come!
