Spirituals - Wanderings
I’ve been checking out an advance of the debut album from Spirituals and so far it’s stunning. Hailing originally from Mississippi, Portland, Oregon resident Tyler Tadlock is the man behind these cleverly arranged, sample-heavy beats. Check out the single “Wanderings,” a dizzying number that sounds like it could be off the latest Four Tet album. As the song opens, you get drawn in by an eerie whistling while a pulsating beat builds that will have your head bobbing in no time. Look for the self-titled debut to come out on June 22nd!
