Ford & Lopatin - Emergency Room

I believe this track came on right when I spilled another mini bottle of JD into a cup of cool chaser at Pitchfork’s #Offline Fest at SXSW last week. Dance potion for the onslaught of warped 80’s-esque beats being fired at me. You’ve heard me mention Games in the past, but now that the duo has started anew as Ford & Lopatin, a fresh batch of jams are about to blow your mind this June. The upcoming concept album Channel Pressure (Software) tells the tale of “a teenage anti-hero [Joey Rogers], violent robo-jocks, and a record industry run by a super computer.” Listen to “Emergency Room” and try to resist the urge to buy a Delorean and mash gears through a purple-hazed urban landscape.
