    The Morning Benders - Promises

I was thrilled to find out about Bay Area band The Morning Benders’ brand new single “Promises” off their upcoming album Big Echo (drops in March). I still play the crew’s debut album Talking Through Tin Cans often, because their sound really chills me out. “Promises” picks up right where the band left off, with Chris Chu’s bright vocals gliding smoothly over the band’s perfectly synced instrumentals. What I love about this song is how the band’s sound comes together in these quick bursts - let’s call them “sound punches.” It makes the song much more exciting! From what I’ve heard so far, I have a good feeling about the next album. It may not stray far from the sound of their older work, but it won’t fail to impress your ears. Also, make sure to check out The Morning Benders’ Myspace for info on their big tour coming up!
