    Young Prisms - Sugar

The Young Prisms album Friends For Now came out on Kanine Records yesterday and I’m finally listening to it in its entirety. Since these guys first came on my radar back in 2009 I’ve enjoyed watching them evolve to the level they’re at now - and this album is no let down of that progress. Expect ten solid tracks of sweet melodies buried deep in a chasm of noisy, reverb-heavy, shoegaze. In case you haven’t heard this track “Sugar” already, listen to it above. It’s definitely one of my favorites on the album. Also, if you live in SF, head to Bottom of the Hill tonight for the Young Prisms album release party with Speculator and Melted Toys opening!
