    Small Black - Pleasant Experience

I hope everyone had an overindulgent, followed by comatose Thanksgiving! Nothing like a day to reflect on the good things in life while you and your family devour turkey and then sit around lifeless like some burnout’s in an opium den. The best. After some R&R last week, it’s good to be back at the blogging. Lots of catching up to do! Lately I’ve been pretty excited about this Brooklyn duo Small Black. They released their debut EP last month and it quickly joined the ranks of the other great lo-fi acts we’ve seen sprout up this year. In the featured track “Pleasant Experience” you really get the bedroom-pop vibe, with the raw drum beat and fuzzy vocals that project like the singer was confessing secrets to his laptop. Make sure to check out the hit song “Despicable Dogs” too if you haven’t already. This band is worth getting to know!
