Birds & Batteries - Sneaky Times

Birds & Batteries are an SF-based crew who’ve been steadily generating acclaim over the past few years. They play at this mesmerizing intersection between pop, rock and electro which reaches a new point of evolution on their brand new EP Up To No Good. Though it’s a small release, each track bites hard - and a few songs in particular are definite knockouts. Even with one listen, its easy to realize that the awesome-titled “Sneaky Times” is one of these standout tracks. The slow, enchanting pace reels you in with a steady beat and shadowy harmonies. Tone is highly considered in this closing number. You’ll notice the instrumentals achieve this dark, ominous quality which bubbles up for about a minute until the chilling vocals kick into action. Specifics aside, it’s the great overall song composing of this hometown group that reminds you why you’re a fan. Check out their latest EP why don’t ya!
