    Kurt Vile - He’s Alright

Not sure why I never posted a Kurt Vile tune before, because his latest album Childish Prodigy has been blaring from my speakers a lot since it hit the scene in September. Although the same is probably true for many people. Truth be told, unless you’re a mono-genre individual who wants nothing to do with guitar based music, it’s hard not to like this guy. He’s got a great style: a deep, rock and roll voice bellowing from behind his mop of hair and killer guitar skills to decorate his well-crafted tunes. The featured track, “He’s Alright” is a humble song which allows Vile’s voice to really standout. It’s hard not to think of Bruce Springsteen when you listen to it. Catch “Philly’s constant hitmaker” tonight at The Hemlock in SF (I’ll be there!) or tomorrow at The Crepe Place in Santa Cruz if you want to witness a great musician.
