    Grizzly Bear - Slow Life

Well I’m back from a peaceful weekend wading in 40 degree water to catch massive king salmon…and catch them I did! I also released them afterwards, so calm down animal activists! My time in Northern Michigan was a refreshing getaway from the chaos of city life. It’s only when you speak to some of the locals in rural areas that you realize how unnecessarily hurried city living is - and that it’s no way to act in the wilderness. So I settled into my waders and just focused on the fish. It’s only fitting that when upon returning from my trip, I stumbled across this new Grizzly Bear tune from the Twilight soundtrack. It’s unfortunate this great song has to be connected to this tween movie, but I’ll let it slide. “Slow Life” is a really beautiful tune, featuring vocal contributions from Beach House’s Victoria Legrand. Not much needs to be said about the tune though, because, well, it’s Grizzly Bear. I will say that they better play this tune at Treasure Island this weekend!
