Fruit Bats - The Ruminant Band

Summer will not be in full swing until August 4th. That’s when the Fruit Bats drop their latest album, The Ruminant Band and the party that is this hot hot season really gets cooking. Especially if you live in SF! While the rest of the country starts cooling off, we’re just getting going! Even though founding member Eric Johnson recently joined The Shins, the band’s new album fails to disappoint. The self-titled single selected for you dear readers has a wonderful country-rock pace packed with a medley of skilled guitar playing. I’m also impressed with the reserved and yet potent delivery of Johnson’s higher register singing. Definitely keep this awesome band on your radar!
