Dinosaur Jr. - Said The People

OK sure, Dinosaur Jr. shouldn’t really qualify for EOTB, but allow me to explain. Back in February I was fortunate to watch Lou Barlow chat with Bob Mould at the Industry Noise Conference which was part of Noise Pop. Being that Dinosaur Jr. was before my time and after my parents’ I only knew a small handful of their songs…but at least I knew who they were! I was fairly impressed with the discussion between the two underground music legends and remember Barlow mentioning the new D Jr. album. I didn’t think too much of the release since I’m pretty focused on emerging artists, but once I saw the album cover I had to check it out! Honestly, the Farm cover has a really sweet illustration. Sure enough the veteran rockers jam out pretty hard on the new release too and that’s how I got to this post! “Said The People” is a long slow tune with an extra dose of soul in the mix. As with all their songs the guitar work is most excellent so make sure to check out the new record pronto.
