Elephant Stone - I Am Blind

After playing with the High Dials, Rishi Dhir got together with his friends to create delightful pop music under the name of Elephant Stone. Although they share names with the classic Stone Roses tune, Dhir’s band stands apart, incorporating Eastern influences in their special blend of rock. “I Am Blind,” at first listen, is easy on the ears and full of sweet melodies that make you an instant fan. It’s more of a straightforward pop hit with hints of the 80’s within. The band’s debut album The Seven Seas already was nominated for a Polaris Music Prize, which is not a bad start! Right now the album can be streamed on the Indiecater Records site and select tracks are also up on their Myspace.
