Portugal. The Man - People Say

As you may have seen in one of the photos below, I was fortunate to catch Portugal. The Man at Bonnaroo. Though I had to miss most of their incredible feature set, I did catch their acoustic performance on the Sonic Stage. I am a more recent fan of the band, but many of their songs have a pleasant familiarity as if I’ve been grooving to them for years. “People Say” is off their new album The Satanic Satanist, coming out towards the end of July. I first heard this song a few days before leaving on my trip and couldn’t wait to share the love. It represents all the band’s great elements including powerful guitar riffs, keyboard licks and beautifully tailored harmonies that support lead singer John Gourley’s distinct singing style.
