Working and Playing at Bonnaroo: A Photo Recap
Allow me to start by saying last week was one of the best music-related weeks of my life! I was fortunate to receive a job working at Bonnaroo this year, and while I worked my ass off, I was still able to attend some amazing shows and document many experiences at this glorious event. My apologies for the iPhone quality, but I do believe you will enjoy the “behind the scenes” perspective of some of these photos.
Tuesday:

Looking at the Main Stage from the VIP campgrounds before the madness.
Wednesday:

About to meet and train our volunteers at The Other Tent.

Supposedly this was a cabaret built for Super VIP campgrounds. It was really cool looking inside as well!

Chilling on the main stage like Rock Stars!

The Bonnaroo arch at night.
Thursday:

Our crappy two-wheel drive Chevy rental truck had to get towed out of the mud.

After getting towed out we had to adapt to the growing sea of arriving festival-goers. Since we had a busy day of work, Thursday night was low key and went by undocumented. However, I was able to catch a few evening acts including Chairlift and Passion Pit which were both pretty stellar.
Friday:

Portugal. The Man. playing an amazing acoustic set!

Side stage for Grizzly Bear! This was easily one of my favorite performances at Bonnaroo!

Caught “Let’s Stay Together” but wish I could have watched the whole show!

Chilling in the press pit for TV On the Radio until the guy with the yellow shirt made me move to the soundboard tent. You can’t tell how close I was with my camera at all!

Nashville’s own Justin Townes Earle charming the audience at the Troo Music Lounge.

Phoenix hit Bonnaroo like a hurricane! Despite the glorious performance I witnessed from side stage, it was really short given their impressive discography. I have to see these guys play again soon!
Saturday:

Cheesyburger in paradise!

Grabbing some shade and a cool beverage in the artist hospitality tent!

Bon Iver side stage was the best birthday present ever!

Can you spot Justin Long and Drew Barrymore’s feather?

Jimmy Fallon rocking the comedy tent.
Sunday:

Corporate marketing meets Bonnaroo.

Even though she came on really late, Erykah Badu’s entrance on stage was legendary!

Caught some Andrew Bird in the press pit. He really is a musical genius!

Snoop Dogg brought the west coast to Bonnaroo in fine style!

Checking out what I missed of Snoop’s set. I had to split somewhere between “Pimp” and “Those Girls” unfortunately.

Band of Horses was the last band I really wanted to see at Bonnaroo. After snapping this pic I got to watch the entire set seated in the sound cable alley smack in the middle of the audience. It was nice to rest and enjoy amazing tunes!

Bruce joined Phish for their festival-closing performance! The lights during the show were crazy good!
Monday:

My favorite section of graffiti produced during the festival. Someone clearly planned this out for a long time.

A campsite and tipped over Port-O-Potties one day after the festival ended.

The epic crawfish feast during the staff wrap party! 500 lbs cooked up cajun style!
