    Datarock - Amarillion

Well I’ve been in a mild slump. Honestly I haven’t heard much lately that’s really impressed me - besides what has already been over-blogged! Fortunately this new Datarock album is about to drop later this month and all is well again at EOTB. You may remember these guys as one of the bands Apple featured in some previous generation of iPod commercial, and based on the other talent that has helped give Apple its cool edge - Chairlift, The Ting Tings, CSS and The Asteroids Galaxy Tour to name a few - there’s a good chance the new Datarock release is going to come with some gems. One of the standouts on their new album Red, is “Amarillion” a mellow pop song built on some simple, catchy guitar riffs and a cushy beat that make the song easy to appreciate. While the formula is nothing breakthrough this Norwegian group has mastered it in a way that is sure to make fans happy!
