Slandercat - Elijah Runs

This was waiting in my inbox this morning and after a few listens, I feel like you need to hear it too. Slandercat is a guy named Jeremy who builds obscure beats incorporating samples, vocals “and little squelchy sounds” - as he puts it. In the song “Return,” I could swear he samples the sound a truck makes when it’s backing up - but in this case I’m probably imagining it. Here’s the song “Elijah Runs” off his debut EP - which you can grab here. It kind of has a Fever Ray vibe.
